Biography

Born and raised in Rome, Italy, Claudio Santini’s aesthetic consciousness for photography began at a very early age. While studying at the School of Architecture and at the European Institute of Design (Istituto Europeo di Design) in Rome, he discovered his unique gift for photography. After graduating, he began his career as architectural photographer by documenting the work of most exciting and emerging architectural talent. Santini’s work was quickly recognized and published by architectural and interior design Italian magazines such as Abitare, Domus, Casa Vogue. While working as an architectural photographer, he continued to work on his art focusing on the relationship between photography and painting.

In 1989 Santini moved to Los Angeles, where his work as architectural photographer has continued to appear in some of the most influential publications in the United States such as: The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, California Home and Design, South Bay Magazine, Coastal Living, Sunset Magazine, Home, Country Living and many other. In addition to the editorial work as an Interior architectural photographer, Santini continued to produce his work as an artist perfecting his unique style, and successfully exhibiting his work in collective and solo shows both nationally and internationally.
